Creating Balance

Wow, what a first week! I’m so grateful for the messages, calls, and kind words. In so many conversations both personal and professional, one theme kept coming up: time, or rather, the lack of it.

It made me think about how often we put ourselves last because work takes over, missing out on what matters most or feeling frustrated when personal needs or goals fall by the wayside.

This morning, I looked at the calendar and realized the holiday season is only four months away. I love the holidays and the traditions that come with them, but too often, reality doesn’t match my expectations. Deadlines pile up, work ramps up, and there’s just never enough time in the day.

This isn’t unique to me. Many industries plan for seasonal surges, yet in others, extra work often falls on people already stretched thin leaving them with little time for themselves.

As we head into the second half of summer, it’s the perfect moment to take a look and make a plan. What needs to be done? Who can help? How can we give teams the gift of time by rethinking our approach and bringing in an extra set of hands?

This week’s reminder, balances isn’t found, it is created.
